October is closing in, and so is winter! While the little ones have already returned to school, some adventurers are still planning their holidays. Here are some wonderful places to go at this period of the year.

Mediterranean Islands

October is the perfect time to catch the last of the Mediterranean warm sunshine. In North Cyprus, for instance, autumn gives the best of itself and the climate is perfect for holiday. The island's shores make its visitors feel like in another era, such a special voyage back in time. The enchanting island was given by Julius Caesar to Cleopatra as a token of his love for her. Romantic, isn't it?

Then, Corfu is suitable for villa holidays. Its buildings are the reflection of Venetian, French, Byzantine and British architecture. This Greek island provides beautiful villas, restaurants and attractions with an unspoilt nature. Corfu is decorated by sorts of wild flowers. Fauna and sea life are plentiful, they are just waiting to be explored. And according to a legend, you will find eternal love if you swim in the sandstone of Sidari's Canal d'Amour.

Travelers can also go to the Canary islands, its year-round sunshine is tempting, in addition to its beautiful sites and resorts. In the east of the Canary, Lanzarote provides the warmest weather. On the other hand, Malta is also a good place to go in October. Under its warm sunshine, explore some monuments like the Grand Baroque churches and the Megalithic Temples.
