Vacations in the Caribbean Islands

The Caribbean, the source of all pirate tales and stories told to children, consists of hundreds of beautiful islands that all deserve to be discovered. Now, what matters is the choice of the perfect island for each visitor, big or little, near or far, civilized or wild. And here are just six of the Carribean islands to help them choose which one is perfect for them.

The Most Reachable Islands

They are easier to access because they have direct flights to link them to the USA, Canada and Europe, and also the most civilized Carribean islands. Among them are Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands and Aruba.

Puerto Rico: this one is definitely one the most appreciated tourist destinations in the region for its Hispanic colonial heritages mixed with modern houses and buildings. Plus, Puerto Rico has the most amazing beach resorts as well as casinos, perfect for those who are not willing to go too far from the USA.
Cayman Islands: also called the Grand Cayman, the island may resemble to South Florida at first sight but is really more quiet because it has much less traffic. Disposing of wonderful seas, Cayman islands welcome all kinds of watersports. It also has stunning and white sandy beaches with warm tropical water.
Aruba: this is an island with a dry climate and arid land decorated with species of wonderful cactus. Although, the beaches are known for their luxury resorts, malls, restaurants and bars. Aruba is for those who want to spend their Caribbean vacations quietly without thinking about anything.

Further Islands

To reach those islands, a transfer is somtimes needed because direct flights leading to them are rare or even none. Nonetheless, they have nothing to envy of the other islands and Barbados, Anguilla and Grenada are part of them.

Barbados: to reach this medium sized island, there are seldom flights from North American and Europe, so better book way before the trip. But for tropical holidays, Barbados is the ideal, especially for surfers. The country offers attractions according to everyone's budget and taste. But most of its luxury resorts are situated on the west coast.
Anguillait is a small Caribbean island with classic beaches but animated by the local cultures and decorated with luxurious rental villas. The island is best for those who like spending their holidays in intimacy. No casinos, no nightclubs around the island, just welcoming people and a tender calm.
Grenada: with St George as capital, Grenada is a little island that was once colonized by Great Britain. Also called Isle of Spice, nutmeg smell fills gently the air and the nature is mostly unspoilt. Visitors can have the choice among all the hotels that can be seen all over the little beautiful island. Grenada also is perfect for private holidays and honeymoon
